He held corporate finance and business development roles for outsourcing specialists - Capita Group Plc and Serco Group Plc and then moved into the city where he was responsible for the European merchant banking operations of CIBC and established the technology private equity fund for Henderson Investors in London.
Since 2000 he has held a number of positions in AIM quoted and venture backed technology and services businesses. He joined alwaysON Group in May 2010 as the Chief Executive Officer and oversaw the Foresight funding of the business completed in November 2010.

Russell is the Investment Director from Foresight Group. He joined Foresight Group in October 2007 from Parkmead Group, a merchant bank, where he was involved in a number of corporate and principal finance projects.
Previously he had spent ten years in technology and marketing management positions, including four years with Thomson Financial. Russell holds a degree in Classics from Exeter University and an MBA with distinction from London Business School.

James has worked within the IT services and networking industry for over 25 years. Starting his career as an Engineer, James has since held many senior positions with a number of large global organisations. James’ career highlights include:
IP-Soft: James was the EMEA Executive Director of IP-soft, an innovative, global IT services and outsourcing business, that developed a unique proposition around service management, automation and offshoring. James was responsible for growing the International business significantly during his tenure.
Kingston Communications: James was the Sales Director at Kingston during the successful acquisition of Omnetica (Siemens Network Systems), Technica (EMC services) and many other IT businesses. He was responsible for the huge growth to over £150m per annum, of the Enterprise business during his 4 year tenure.
Dimension Data: as Sales Director James was responsible for the growth of what was to become one of the world’s biggest and most innovative IT services organisations.
BT: James was a senior manager responsible for some of BT’s most strategic global clients and spent some time working in the USA, Far East and Europe. His business unit posted outstanding growth year on year under James’ direction.
Siemens Communications: James was responsible for the creation and growth of the managed services business, a completely new approach at that time for what was traditionally a PABX manufacturer.
