Breakout
Communicate with organisations outside your private network.
The whole principle of a 'private' network is to securely exchange data between multiple (two or more) sites. Sites that are connected to your private network are on-net, but you may need to access sites that are off-net i.e. not part of your network. The term breakout is used to describe the ability to access public networks beyond your own private network and therefore connect to sites that are off-net.
